Tim is recognized by his clients as a trusted advocate and deal maker who has proven his ability to effectively represent his clients in transactional, litigation, and trusts and estates matters.
In his corporate practice, Tim handles matters such as stock and asset purchases, shareholder, limited liability company, and partnership agreements as well as partner and member buyouts. Having operated two of New York City’s most successful nightclubs and their ancillary business units for over a decade prior to practicing law, Tim is regularly called upon by hospitality and entertainment professionals for sound, insightful and effective legal counsel and practical business advice.
Tim's commercial and residential real estate practice includes acquisitions, sales, financing and leasing in New York City, Long Island and Westchester. With respect to financing transactions, Tim represents private lenders and borrowers in the negotiation and documentation of a broad range of secured and unsecured loan transactions, regularly serving as closing agent and counsel.
As a litigator, Tim regularly advocates for his clients in complex commercial cases in state and federal court as well as before arbitration tribunals. Tim has successfully litigated cases involving contracts, defamation, entertainment, intellectual property and corporate matters.
Tim also represents his clients on a variety of trusts and estates matters including the drafting of wills, prosecuting probate and administration petitions, and administrating estates.
Carmen garnered much of her legal experience at an AM Law 100 firm. While attending law school full-time in the evenings, Carmen anchored the litigation group during the day. Upon completing law school, Carmen joined the firm as a litigation associate where she handled a wide range of complex business litigation matters.
After several years as a litigator, Carmen decided to nurture her interest in real estate and joined the firm's corporate leasing department, where she participated in the negotiation and drafting of highly sophisticated real estate transactions on behalf of some of New York City's largest landlords as well as a wide range of tenant transactions.
In 2013, Carmen started her own firm, continuing with her litigation and real estate practices as well as expanding her practice into the area of real estate related financial transactions. Carmen represents developers and private individuals in the sale, refinance and purchase of residential real estate.
In 2015, Carmen began handling state and federal litigation matters in the United States Virgin Islands, including the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
Carmen is also fluent in Cantonese and has experience dealing with the complex business and legal landscape of the Chinese community, which will well serve her clients seeking to gain a foothold in the Chinese marketplace in New York.
Andreas has diverse litigation experience in various areas of civil law. Concentrating in matrimonial practice, Andreas uses his diverse legal background to better assist his clients. As divorce touches on many different and seemingly unrelated areas of law, Andreas provides his clients with a competitive advantage.
Tsui regularly handles a wide variety of immigration matters, including family- and employment-based applications for permanent residence, nonimmigrant work visas, defense in removal (deportation) proceedings, naturalization applications, and applications for various waivers of removability.
